Part 2 of 5 – Beginner Guitar Lesson – How to Guitar Solo – Notes To Play Over Chords

This is part 2 of my 5 video series for beginners that want to know how to guitar solo. The first lesson covered the E minor pentatonic scale in 2 positions on the neck.

Today I build on the minor pentatonic and add a nice augmented 4th note to give it bluesy flavor. You’ll also see the proper technique for bending notes, hammer-ons/pull-offs and slides.

To finish this lesson you’ll learn what notes you can play with each chord in an E I-IV-V chord progression.
